Entrance exams – usually take place from April to June.

Proof of knowledge of Czech – a B1/B2 level certificate is required; some faculties require C1.

The school does not provide assistance with finding accommodation. However, in Brno it is common to look for housing through real estate portals and Facebook groups focused on rentals and shared accommodation. We recommend starting your search early, especially before the start of the semester. Always check the terms of the lease and avoid paying deposits without a contract.

Where and how to search: online real estate portals (e.g., Sreality, Bezrealitky, Reality.iDNES), Facebook groups such as Brno Apartments / Rooms for Rent, relocation services recommended by Brno Expat Centre, Foreigners.cz, and others.

The job market in Brno is dynamic, with opportunities in manufacturing, IT, administration, and services.

Where to look for work: job portals (Jobs.cz, Prace.cz, Indeed, or LinkedIn), recruitment agencies (e.g., Hays, Manpower, Reed)—many of which also have English websites, Brno Expat Centre publishes tips on job vacancies and advice on how to prepare for a job interview.

Work permits and regulations: Generally, EU citizens are not required to have a work permit, but non-EU citizens need a work permit or an employment card linked to their residence status. Some exceptions (e.g., students or holders of certain types of visas) do not require a special permit.

Brno is a lively city with a wide range of leisure activities to offer — from parks to festivals and museums.
