Before registering
- The most important choice is the language you want to study. A Czech course? Excellent choice!
- The placement test will help you assess your initial knowledge of the Czech language.
- You will then choose the starting level of the course based on the results of this test. You can find the start dates and times of individual Czech language courses on our website.
- The last thing left to do is to submit your application for the course. You can do this directly through our website, or you can stop by the PELICAN school office to fill out the application form. We look forward to seeing you!

Before the first lesson
- The most important part is behind you once you have successfully registered for a Czech language course!
- Now it’s up to you to decide what suits you best. Payment is made for one semester / 17 lessons. We start Czech language courses twice a year. So don’t wait until January to make your New Year’s resolution!
- All that’s left is to look forward to your first lesson. In the meantime, check out our blog or read more about the educational projects that PELICAN and its team are involved in!
During the first lesson
- Welcome to PELICAN! First, you will meet our office staff, who will be at your disposal throughout the course! We will also show you around the school premises, including the kitchen, where you can refresh yourself with a good cup of coffee before each Czech lesson!
- This is followed by an introduction to the other course participants and the teacher who will be leading the Czech course. You won’t lose motivation in this group!
- During the first lesson, the teacher will analyze the needs of individual participants and the group as a whole. You will learn more about the teaching materials and the Czech language course syllabus.
Course objective
- The objective of our courses is to improve the language skills of each participant in the shortest possible time, both in written and spoken communication.
- The Czech language course is designed in such a way that language skills improve by one level within a year.
- Passing the state language exam can be considered a sub-goal of our courses. Receiving an internationally recognized certificate after a year of study that opens doors to career opportunities and the world is a great motivation!
- And what happens when the language course is over? Keep studying! You can enroll in a higher-level Czech course, start studying another language, or try both! With PELICAN, nothing is impossible!

In addition to general language teaching, we are able to provide specialized Czech language courses in Brno according to your requirements, such as conversation courses, Czech language courses focusing on professional issues, or preparatory courses for state language exams.

- Courses must be paid for into our bank account or at the school office no later than three working days before the start date.
- Course registration is binding.
- Registration can be canceled no later than 48 hours before the start of the course, otherwise the applicant is obliged to pay the costs associated with organizing the course in the amount of CZK 1,000.
- In the event of an insufficient number of applicants for courses, we reserve the right to postpone the start date of the course – School Rules.
