How are English courses taught at PELICAN Language School?
If you’ve come this far, you’ve probably decided to start studying English. We’re delighted, because learning something new always makes sense. In the following paragraphs, we’ll guide you through how we teach English at PELICAN.
Why study English at PELICAN Language School

Before registering
- The first important step is to choose a language. English course? Excellent!
- Check your language level now with our placement test.
- Based on the results of our test, choose your starting level for the course. You can find the times and start dates for each course on our website.
- Now all you have to do is send your application for the course directly through our website or stop by the PELICAN school office in person.
Before your first lesson
- Have you signed up for an English course? The most important part is behind you.
- The course is paid for one semester, which is 17 lessons. Courses at our school start twice a year, so you don’t have to wait until January to start your new resolution!
- Now all you have to do is look forward to your first lesson. While you wait, you can check out our blog or learn more about the educational projects PELICAN is involved in.

First lesson
- Welcome! Before your first English lesson, you will get to know the environment, the kitchen, the classroom, and also the staff in our office, who will be at your disposal throughout the course!
- It is also important to get to know the teacher and other course participants. With this group, you will definitely not lose motivation!
- During the first lesson, the teacher will familiarize themselves with the specific needs of the course participants. They will specify the teaching materials according to your needs and set the course outline, thanks to which they will successfully lead the group to the set goals!
Course objective
- The objective of the language course is to improve your language skills in a high-quality and natural way in the shortest possible time – both in spoken and written communication.
- The English course is designed so that students can improve their language skills by one level within a year.
- Another goal may be to successfully pass a language exam. You can complete our English course by obtaining an internationally recognized certificate, which will improve your employability and open doors to the world!
- Was the English language course right for you? We don’t stop after a year-long course! Join a course in the same language at a higher level and continuously improve your skills, start studying a new language, or try both! Now you know that nothing is impossible at the PELICAN Language School!

- Courses must be paid for into our bank account or at the school office no later than three working days before the start date.
- Course registration is binding.
- Registration can be canceled no later than 48 hours before the start of the course, otherwise the applicant is obliged to pay the costs associated with organizing the course in the amount of CZK 1,000.
- In the event of an insufficient number of applicants for courses, we reserve the right to postpone the start date of the course – School Rules.
